Yeastar made P-Series V26.1 generally available for the Cloud Edition on 29 October 2026 as firmware 84.25.0.23, and followed it on 30 October with 84.25.0.25, which fixes a login lockout. Yeastar's own blog post about V26.1 is dated 27 October, two days before the Cloud Edition build. It's a practical release: fewer missed voicemails, simpler recording rules, tighter sign-in security, and one date HubSpot users should put in the calendar. Details from Yeastar's release notes.
Voicemail SMS notifications
The PBX can now send an SMS when an extension gets a new voicemail. New global settings choose the sending channel, the sender number and the message text.
Email notifications already existed, but a text is harder to miss for someone on the road. It needs an SMS channel connected to the PBX.
One switch for global call recording
"Enable Global Call Recording" records all calls of the communication types you select — no more ticking extensions and trunks one by one. Recording scope gets finer too:
- Extension recording has a communication type setting. The old "Enable Recording of Internal Calls" option is gone, because the new setting covers it.
- Trunk recording has a call type setting.
Before you switch it on
Recording every call is easy now; doing it lawfully is up to you. In most European countries the people on the call must be told, and you need a legal basis and a retention period for the recordings. Our guide to GDPR and call recording covers the basics. This is not legal advice — check with your own adviser.
Two-factor authentication per user
Admins can now enforce 2FA on individual extensions and choose which verification methods each extension may use (under the extension's login security settings). Admins can also switch 2FA off for an extension without entering its password — useful when someone loses their phone.
Strong sign-in is one of the best defences against account takeover and toll fraud. If you can, require it for everyone with access to sensitive features, and start with admins.
The HubSpot deadline: 16 February 2027
The HubSpot CRM integration now uses HubSpot's latest OAuth API in place of the deprecated v1. Yeastar's notes are direct: to keep it working, upgrade the PBX to this version or later before 16 February 2027.
Zendesk gets OAuth 2.0 token refresh, so the PBX refreshes its access by itself. Integrations stuck in an error state can be restored with "Re-authorize".
Other changes in Yeastar P-Series V26.1
- Function key templates can be imported and exported.
- Call parking groups, each with its own music on hold.
- Sangoma phones: provisioning templates for the P310, P315, P320, P325, P330, P370 and S500.
- Inbound routes can use another inbound route as their default destination.
- "Send 183 only" trunk option for carriers that need it; enable only if the problem is confirmed on that line.
- Activity Logs: Yeastar's V26.1 blog post also names real-time system logs in the web interface.
- Fixes: Microsoft SSO sign-in for some synced users, call record queries in Safari, and a trunk's user agent being overridden.
- API: new events for call-end timelines and AI summaries, plus many new settings interfaces.
The login lockout fix in 84.25.0.25
In 84.25.0.23, repeated failed logins to one account from a single public IP could lock that account for all IP addresses — which could block access to every account on the PBX. 84.25.0.25 fixes that. If you plan an upgrade, 84.25.0.25 is the build to go to.
A short checklist for V26.1
Once your PBX runs V26.1, a few things are worth ten minutes:
- Review your recording scope. If you used "Enable Recording of Internal Calls", check that the new communication type settings record what you expect — no more, no less.
- Decide who needs 2FA. Start with admins and anyone who can change routing or listen to recordings.
- Test the HubSpot or Zendesk integration, if you use one: place a call and check it is logged.
- Set up voicemail SMS for people who are often away from their desk, if you have an SMS channel.
What this means for you
On a Yeastar P-Series Cloud PBX from PBXfactory, Yeastar's updates are applied for you in announced maintenance windows, and urgent security fixes sooner. Your settings stay as they are.
If you use the HubSpot integration, keep the February 2027 date in mind and ask our support when V26.1 is scheduled for your PBX. Voicemail SMS needs an SMS channel from a provider of your choice — we don't sell trunks or SMS. Setting up recording rules and 2FA is PBX configuration: Yeastar's documentation covers both, and our support packages can help.
