Yeastar custom CRM templates, LDAP and notes

Published March 26, 20254 min readby The PBXfactory team

Yeastar's P-Series Cloud 84.18.0.102 release adds a CRM/Helpdesk Integration Template, so you can connect any CRM or helpdesk with a REST API even without a ready-made connector. It also adds LDAP caller lookup and phonebook sync, Call Notes for tagging calls, and Microsoft Teams presence sync in either direction.

A phone system is far more useful when it knows who's calling. Yeastar P-Series has long shipped ready-made connectors for popular CRMs and helpdesks — but if yours wasn't on the list, you were stuck. Yeastar's P-Series Cloud Edition 84.18.0.102, released on 26 March 2025, changes that, and adds two more ways to put names and context to calls.

What's new in Yeastar 84.18.0.102

Yeastar's release notes list three new features:

  • CRM/Helpdesk Integration Template — connect any CRM or helpdesk with a REST API.
  • LDAP Server Integration — look up callers in your directory and sync contacts to phonebooks.
  • Call Notes — tag calls with dispositions and remarks.

And a long list of improvements, including:

  • Teams presence sync direction: one-way either way, or both ways, plus "In a Call", "In a Meeting" and "Presenting".
  • "Accept calls from Ring Group" as a presence option, so someone in a meeting isn't rung by group calls.
  • Periodic password changes for extensions, set by the super admin.
  • Alphanumeric SMS sender IDs, so messages can show your company name instead of a number.
  • Better announcements for ring groups and queues: a join announcement, an option to play it in full before ringing, and a looped ringback tone.
  • More phones: older Yealink models, BLF keys on NEC phones, and IPUI mode for DECT handsets.

How the CRM/Helpdesk Integration Template works

Until this release, CRM integration on P-Series meant picking one of Yeastar's pre-built connectors. The Integration Template opens that up: if your CRM or helpdesk offers a REST API, you can describe how the PBX should talk to it and build your own integration.

You'll find it under Integrations, CRM/Helpdesk, Template Management. The same screen lets you view and update the default templates behind Yeastar's pre-built integrations — and template updates take effect without disconnecting the existing integration.

CRM improvements in the same release

The CRM side got a lot of attention in 84.18.0.102:

  • One CRM user can be linked to several extensions (Zoho CRM via PhoneBridge stays one-to-one).
  • Outbound calls to contacts trigger lookup and sync too, not just inbound ones.
  • "Always Query" options for real-time contact lookup and dial search in Linkus.
  • Manual contact creation: add an unknown caller to your CRM during the call.
  • Call journals with custom subject and description, and call recording playback for HubSpot, Bitrix24 and Zendesk.
  • Zoho Desk can create a ticket before the call.

LDAP integration: caller names from your directory

Plenty of companies keep their contacts in an LDAP directory. With 84.18.0.102, the PBX can connect to a third-party LDAP server to:

  • look up inbound callers and show their name when there's a match, and
  • sync contacts to phonebooks, so users can dial them from Linkus and calls can be routed based on phonebook matches.

Call Notes: record what happened on a call

Call Notes let users add disposition tags ("resolved", "callback needed", "sale") and free-text remarks to a call. Notes can be taken during the call and reviewed or edited later in the call logs. The admin switches the feature on first.

It's a lightweight way to track outcomes without a full CRM — or alongside one. New API endpoints and events (Call Note Status Changed, Agent Status Changed) let other systems read them too.

Presence that respects meetings

Two presence changes in this release work well together. First, Microsoft Teams presence sync can now run Teams to extension, extension to Teams, or both ways, and it carries the "In a Call", "In a Meeting" and "Presenting" statuses. Second, each presence status has an "Accept calls from Ring Group" option.

Combined, they let you decide whether people who are busy in Teams still get ring group calls, while direct calls keep reaching them. Yeastar's documentation explains how each Teams status maps to an extension's presence. Users can set the sync direction themselves in Linkus Web, once the admin has connected Microsoft 365.

What came after

Custom templates kept improving:

  • 84.20.0.21 (August 2025) added Bearer Token authentication with automatic refresh, and custom request headers.
  • 84.20.0.74 (September 2025) added token refresh settings for OAuth2 and Bearer Token.

And in May 2025, 84.19.0.22 added ready-made Dynamics 365 and Google Workspace integrations.

Questions and answers

Can Yeastar P-Series connect to a CRM that isn't on Yeastar's list?
Yes, if the CRM or helpdesk has a REST API. Since 84.18.0.102 you can build a custom integration with the CRM/Helpdesk Integration Template.
What are Call Notes?
Disposition tags and remarks that users add to a call, during or after it, to record what happened. The admin has to switch the feature on first.
Can Teams presence follow the phone, or the other way round?
Both. From 84.18.0.102, presence sync can run Teams to extension, extension to Teams, or both ways, including In a Call, In a Meeting and Presenting.
